You stepped up to the plate and this one is headed home. 💚⚾️

This week, the @st.johnscounty Board of County Commissioners formally accepted $115,604 from the @sjcparksfoundation to fully fund the turf replacement at @sjcparksandrec Field of Dreams at Aberdeen Park.

Our Step Up to the Plate campaign was a line up of donors, families, businesses, and community partners who believed our most special athletes deserved a great place to play.

The most COLORFUL 5K in @st.johnscounty is back! 🌈🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The @sjcparksandrec Family Color Run 5K returns Saturday, November 14 and registration is already filling up!

More than 68,000 rounds of golf were played at @st.johnsgolfclub last year.

That’s not just golf. That’s tens of thousands of @st.johnscounty residents and visitors choosing a @sjcparksandrec county park to exercise, spend time outdoors, and connect with friends and family.

• 68,000+ rounds played annually — making it one of the county’s most heavily used recreational amenities.
• Open to everyone — unlike many private clubs, this is a public facility where residents of all ages and skill levels can play.
• Youth programs and clinics introduce the game to the next generation and create lifelong healthy habits.
• The 2022 renovation transformed an aging course into an award-recognized public facility while preserving valuable green space for the community.
• Golf participation is stronger than ever nationwide, with more than 500 million rounds played annually in the U.S. and public courses serving as the primary entry point for new golfers.
